Langford Tennis Club, Bedfordshire LTA club

	Not literally in Beds but definitely in Bedfordshire! In conjunction with the LTA Langford Tennis Club is holding an Open Day on Sunday the 23rd June from 2pm - 5pm Adults (and adults with children) are invited along 2-5pm. We hope to have our coach there to give you the encouragement and help that you might want, and we can tell you about the individual and group coaching as well as the social and competitive play that is available. Langford Family Fete on Saturday the 6th of July The club will again be celebrating the village fete. As usual there will fun and competitions for the whole family so please come along and join in
We are a small (but perfectly formed) friendly tennis club based on the Langford Playing Fields in the centre of Langford Bedfordshire The club is thriving and we are now up to 119 members who come from Langford and the surrounding area including Biggleswade, Broom, Campton, Clifton, Gravenhurst, Haynes, Henlow, Letchworth, Meppershall, Sandy, Shefford, Stanford, Stotfold and Wilstead Our two floodlit hard courts are maintained to a high standard. We play all year round and members have been known to sweep the snow off the courts in order to have a game!
The picture above was taken during a tea break on a late october club afternoon. We don't spend all our time sitting down in front of the clubhouse so come along and join in even if you were looking for a tennis club rather than a tea society! We have organised adult social sessions on Wednesday evenings at 8pm and Saturday afternoons at 2pm and if you would like to come along and see what the club is about then please bring your racket and join in. If you want to keep coming then you can pick up a membership form and will be welcome to join the club If you fancy taking things a bit further then then you should be pleased to learn that we have teams playing all year round in the Mid Beds Leagues covering Singles, Ladies, Mens and Mixed Doubles and if you want to be competitive but keep within the club then we also organise Singles and Doubles Ladders If you are in need of encouragement we have regular organised coaching sessions which run all year round. Young or old (like me) will benefit from a course with Justin, our excellent LTA qualified coach.
